After the download is complete, locate the file on your computer where you downloaded it and double-click the file MediaCreationToolXXXX.exe to run the application.(If you are asked for a download location, do not download it to the USB drive you intend to use later as your bootable drive.) Click Download tool now to download the MediaCreationToolXXXX.exe. Using the tool to create installation media On that page, under Create Windows installation media, click the button for Download tool now. Select the link that matches your version of Windows. You'll find further requirements and step by step instructions on the software download website. However, if you are reinstalling Windows on an older computer, you will likely find the Windows product-key printed on a label attached to the side panel of the computer. If you are reinstalling windows on a computer with the original motherboard, then you will not need your product key since it will be automatically registered by windows. Note: Since 2018, all CyberPower computers are now built with a digital key that is embedded into the motherboard which is unique to that motherboard only.
